Couples that met offline and eventually got married had a courtship period over twice as long at 42 months. On average, just 10 percent of users remained with a site for more than 3 months.

Online dating is a growing industry around the world today, but has made the largest gains in Asia markets. Dating is big business in China where there are over 140 million singles using online dating sites in that country now. India is not far behind with 15 million online dating users.
Online Time
Online dating has recently been gaining ground in the United States with over 10 million singles paying to use the services in 2009. Among the top ten online dating sites in the U.S., users spent an average of nearly half an hour per site each time they logged-on to one.
